On Sacred Heart Radio

Brian Patrick and I kept our monthly appointment again this morning, chatting once more about developing sainthood causes in the Church on Sacred Heart Radio’s Son Rise morning show

This morning’s topics included some interesting items already mentioned on this blog — Saturday’s beatification of Friar Jose Olallo Valdez of Cuba; the missing (?) corpse of Cardinal John Henry Newman; and the information, recently come to light, that Pope Pius XII was firmly convinced that he had experienced “the miracle of the sun” (so often connected with its 1917 occurence at Fatima) in 1950 and was also convinced that it was a divine confirmation of his intention to declare infallibly the dogma of the Assumption of Mary, which he did later that year.

Next month, Sacred Heart Radio’s morning show joins the line-up of 125 stations via the EWTN radio and Sirius satellite networks, and there are significant expenses involved.  Consider helping them out here.  Or just check out the quality programming that got them there by clicking the ON AIR button here.
